Get Ready for "Trade til
You Fade 2010"
Next month's schedule is not
much different from other CJDPT overniters- the plan we have used seems to
work- so we’re sticking with it.
If you are a first-timer, we suggest
you bring all your “traders.” You will be amazed at the wonderful pins
for trade and you’ll be wishing you had all brought all your pins! We ask
that you bring munchies or healthy snacks to share and some bottled drinks for
the coolers. Bring money for lunch and dinner- we insist you take a break
to eat. There are many local places that deliver and there is a Ruby
Tuesdays right across the street with a take-out window (how convenient.)
If you would like to take a break from trading on Saturday evening, bring a new
wrapped Disney item ($15 to $20) that would make a great grab bag gift and join
in the fun when we play our “Let’s Make a Steal” gift swap game. It
continues to be lots of fun! Finally, bring your sense of humor and love
of Disney. We are looking forward to hosting another great weekend of pin
trading, friendship and fun!

The hotel staff serves continental breakfast in the dining area for guests who
are staying overnight in the hotel. This area is not available to CJDPT for
trading until after the staff has cleared breakfast service and has released
the space to John for our use. Please cooperate with this request to keep the
dining area open for breakfast and clean-up until John sounds the "all
clear."
Saturday Evening
Scheduled CJDPT activities close between 5 & 7 for the dinner break. Pin
traders who desire to continue trading through dinner should move into the
conference room or board room at 5. At this time, the dining area is designated
for guests who are eating in. After 7, the dining area becomes our game area
for the Steal Game and Pin Bag Scavenger Hunt.
Your cooperation will be appreciated!

Hello Everyone! Sheila and I would like to take this opportunity to personally THANK each and every one of the 117 pin traders that attended our "little" event this weekend!!!!
We consider all of you part of our "pin family" and are honored to call you friends. It is because of all of you that the CJDPT will be celebrating its 5 year anniversary in 2008 and we look forward to seeing you all again April 11-13 2008 for "Trade til You Fade-'08!!
We promise to continue to do our best to give you the kind of pin meets you have come to expect from the CJDPT!!
We encourage any of you out there who have never attended one of our events to consider it for next year, as you can see in the other post here people truly had a "magical" time. It is always magical for Sheila and I, Thank You All...
With traders from as far away as California, Florida, Ohio, Canada and everywhere in between these meets take on an energy all there own.
And finally a BIG THANK YOU to Janis and David Lavender. You are great and we would not want to continue this ride without you both!!! As well as everyone who donated prizes, all who brought food and drink. You are the heart and soul of the CJDPT and we are HONORED to call you FRIENDS!!!

This weekend during "Swap til You Drop" I met and visited with Tom Corless. Tom is the webmaster of http://www.wdwnewstoday.com It is an awesome website that is updated daily with news from all of WDW! Also Tom has just launched an entirely new PIN TRADING section on the site. I encourage you to go and have a look I am sure that you all will become fans of the site as I have!!
On August 18 I had the pleasure of doing a podcast about "Pin Trading" with Bryan Ripper and Jonathan Dichter from the "All About The Mouse Disney Podcast".
